Aqua Jack

Released by Taito in 1989, Aqua Jack is a 3D immersive action game set in a futuristic aquatic world. Players pilot a hovercraft, racing through a battlefield rendered with pseudo-3D technology while defeating incoming enemies to maintain momentum. As a title that follows in the tradition of the "lounge-style" arcade games that were popular at the time, it captures the excitement of the golden age of arcades by blending intense combat with a unique sense of control that makes you feel as though you are skimming across the water.

Communications suddenly cut off, followed by reports of an anomaly on the other side of the globe. Warned of the situation, the military dispatches an experimental hovercraft to investigate. As a crew member, you must navigate across both water and land, breaking through the enemy forces that stand in your way.
