Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh

Released by Taito in 1987, this title is the sequel to the global blockbuster block-breaking game, *Arkanoid*. While inheriting the simple and highly addictive gameplay of its predecessor, this entry introduced significant features such as a greater variety of stage gimmicks and dynamic visual presentations that saw the screen scroll both vertically and horizontally as the game progressed. Alongside a story depicting a rematch with the boss character "DOH," this masterpiece once electrified the arcade scene and continues to be beloved by many fans even today.

The extra-dimensional life form Doh, who was thought to have been defeated in the previous game Arkanoid, has reappeared to exact its revenge. Players pilot the space vessel Vaus and must fend off attacks from Doh’s legions by destroying blocks. Standing on the precipice of total destruction, the player must once again throw themselves into a fierce battle against Doh.
