Thunder Cross

Released by Konami in October 1988, this is a side-scrolling shooter for the arcade. Set on the remote planet of Hanium IV, humanity finds itself thrust into a galaxy-wide war against a super-mechanized legion. Distinct from the company’s Gradius series, this title features a unique option system that allows players to strategically switch between a variety of weapons, such as Vulcans and lasers, to conquer all seven stages. Experience the tension of challenging a formidable enemy army through intuitive controls consisting of an eight-way joystick and two buttons.

To search for comrades who have gone missing, the Blue Thunder 45 (or Red Thunder 24 for 2P) is dispatched as a patrol unit to the frontier planet Hanium IV, where they engage in fierce battle against the mechanized army and the enemy force known as "Black Impulse."
