Description

Released by Konami in 1983, Gyruss is an innovative space-themed shooting game in which the player battles while moving along a 360-degree orbital path. Setting out from Neptune, players must fight their way toward the sun, utilizing an eight-way joystick and shot button to annihilate enemy formations. This title is known for being the first in the industry to use a board capable of stereo sound, and its excellent musical score—which heightens the game's sense of immersion—became a major topic of conversation at the time. We hope you enjoy this simple yet highly immersive gaming experience, where you advance by destroying every enemy on screen.

Story

Pilot a space fighter aiming to return from the solar system while intercepting incoming enemy formations. In this shooter, you must rotate 360 degrees to shoot down enemies that emerge from the background along a circular trajectory. With the final goal of returning to Earth, you must break through enemy defenses while passing by each planet.
