Description

Released by Taito in 1989, Darius II is the authentic sequel to the original Darius, a title renowned for its innovative three-screen linked display. While the configuration was adjusted from the three screens of its predecessor to two, the game retained its trademark biomechanical designs and profound, atmospheric sound, offering a more refined experience. The grand scope of its interplanetary setting and the branching stage paths provided a deeply immersive experience for players of that era. Still affectionately known by its international name, Sagaia, this title stands as a landmark of multi-screen shooting games, having left an indelible mark on the history of arcade gaming.

Story

A few years after the previous battle, humanity learns that their colony planet, Darius, is once again under attack by the alien race known as Belsar. To defend the planet, Silver Hawk pilots Proco and Tiat launch for a second conflict. They travel from the solar system to the Darius system, throwing themselves into a final battle against the Belsar army, who plan to conquer the galaxy.
