Description

Released by Sega in February 1983, the arcade game Congo Bongo (known in Japan as Tip Top) is an action game with a unique premise: the protagonist sets out to take revenge after being pranked by a gorilla. The game utilizes an advanced isometric, 3D-style perspective, requiring players to navigate various obstacles using a four-way joystick and a single jump button. The ultimate goal is to complete all four stages and ignite the gorilla's backside. While the game received mixed reviews in Japan, it became a major hit in the United States. Please note that some technical environments may experience issues with sound playback.

Story

A safari explorer ventures into the jungle to take revenge on Bongo, a gorilla who set fire to his tent. You must explore stages rendered in a quarter-view perspective, leaping over rivers and climbing cliffs to reach Bongo’s hiding place. The goal is to corner the elusive Bongo while avoiding the various wild animals that obstruct your path.
