The Tower of Druaga

Released in arcades by Namco in 1984, this title is a pioneering action RPG in which the protagonist, Gil, ascends a labyrinthine tower to rescue his beloved Ki. The golden knight Gilgamesh steps into the 60-story Tower of Druaga to rescue his lover, Ki, who has been abducted by the demon Druaga. He must overcome numerous trials, defeat Druaga waiting on the top floor, and retrieve Ki. The adventure begins as he climbs toward the summit of the tower, collecting treasure chests hidden on each floor and strengthening his equipment along the way.
