Hatris

Released in 1990 by Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of Tetris, this game pioneered new possibilities in the falling-block puzzle genre. In this game, six types of hats descend from the top of the screen in pairs. Your goal is to stack them onto the heads of six men waiting below, clearing them by grouping five hats of the same type. Because each hat has a unique height and shape, you must place them strategically to maintain balance; fail to do so, and the stacks will quickly cross the red line, resulting in a game over. Featuring flame items to clear difficult situations and a "Sale Mode" that lets you eliminate specific hat types, this unique puzzle game challenges players to think ahead and aim for a high score.
