Punk Shot (US 4 Players)

Released by Konami for arcades in 1990, Punk Shot is a unique sports game that blends basketball with fighting action. Set in a decaying New York City, the game features 2-on-2 teams engaging in extreme matches where foul play, including backdrops and lariats, is fair game. The stages are filled with various gimmicks, and the detailed character stats—such as varying shooting success rates—add to the game's appeal. Consisting of five stages in total, the final level presents exceptionally tough opponents that will truly put the player's skills to the test.

In the year 20XX, Stallion and Spike of the "West Siders," a team aspiring to become professional basketball players, find themselves targeted by gangs who have heard rumors about them. To protect their dreams, they defeat the gangs that challenge them through street basketball matches where sabotage and physical attacks are permitted.
