Mr. Do!

Released by Universal in October 1982, Mr. Do! is an arcade game that established a unique play experience by incorporating a wide array of original ideas, even while influenced by the popular titles of its time. Players aim to clear stages either by using a ball to defeat enemies or by collecting all the cherries on the screen, with strategic movement—such as dropping apples on enemies from above—playing a vital role. The game introduced features like the "EXTRA" letter collection system for earning extra lives, and in early versions, the protagonist was depicted as a snowman. Although a bug that allowed players to significantly increase their remaining lives existed during development, it was corrected in later versions. Access to the test mode can be performed by holding the 1P button (Left CTRL key) while resetting the game.
