Description

Released in 1990 by Tecmo and developed by Toaplan, Out Zone is an arcade game that follows the journey of a cyborg warrior summoned from the "Out Zone," the edge of the galaxy, to save humanity from the brink of extinction at the hands of the powerful Owagira aliens. Featuring simple controls using an eight-way joystick and two buttons, the game allows players to upgrade to three different types of flamboyant weapons. It offers the same exhilarating combat experience found in the company’s Tiger series. However, amid these intense battles, players must remain calm and sharp, as they are constantly at risk of falling into holes or getting caught in the terrain.

Story

In the year 2097, mankind had repelled repeated invasions of Earth, but ultimately proved unable to withstand the assault of the Owagira aliens. As a last resort, the United Nations commissioned the strongest cyborg warriors, known as the "Legendary Space Mercenaries," to drive them back. With the fate of the Earth hanging in the balance, the cyborg warriors throw themselves into battle.
