Description

Released by Konami for arcades in 1990, this action-shooter is based on the world of the film Aliens. While it follows the gameplay style of the company’s own Contra series, it distinguishes itself with multi-layered level designs and exhilarating destruction powered by a diverse arsenal. Players can enjoy the thrill of holding off hordes of aliens in two-player cooperative play as they navigate through all six stages using an eight-way joystick and two buttons. Please note that this title includes a known technical quirk present since its original development, where ammunition may fail to register when firing near the top of the screen. Additionally, users playing in an emulated environment may encounter minor visual lag or discrepancies in BGM tempo.

Story

Following the loss of communication with the Hadley's Hope colony on planet LV-426, Ellen Ripley and Corporal Hicks of the Colonial Marines head to the site to investigate. Inside the facility, which has been overrun by countless aliens, the two fight for their survival. Under dire circumstances, they hold off the alien hordes before ultimately facing the Alien Queen in a final showdown.
