Guerrilla War

Released by SNK in December 1987, *Guerrilla War* is an action-packed war game featuring Cuban revolutionary hero Che Guevara. As the fourth installment in the company’s *Ikari Warriors* series, the game utilizes a rotary joystick and two buttons for control. Unlike its predecessors, it replaces the grenade power-up system with a focus on weapon upgrades, marking a unique evolution for the series. While its game balance differed from the franchise's previous hits, the intense battles spanning all five stages—particularly the relentless onslaught of the final level—remain etched in the memories of many players.

This action-shooting game is based on the Cuban Revolution. Players take on the roles of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, engaging in guerrilla warfare against the military to overthrow the regime led by the dictator Batista. Utilizing weapons and tanks, players must break through enemy defensive lines to reach their destination.
