Sunset Riders

Released by Konami for arcades in 1991, Sunset Riders is an action-shooter set during the 19th-century American Wild West. Playing as a bounty hunter, you use an 8-way joystick and two buttons to defeat your nemesis, Sir Richard Rose, who has a massive bounty on his head. While the game features a gritty, hard-boiled setting, its charm lies in the comical flourishes found throughout. The game also supports simultaneous play for up to four people. Please note that the EEPROM for system settings can be initialized by holding the F2 key, pressing the F3 key to reset, and continuing to hold the F2 key until the process is complete.

Set during the American Old West, the story depicts a battle where skilled bounty hunters set out to defeat outlaws threatening peaceful towns. Players choose one of four gunmen to track down notorious wanted criminals across the land. As they push forward to protect justice in the West, the gunmen strike down the formidable foes and countless outlaws that stand in their way.
