Description

Released by Sega in 1982, this title is a groundbreaking shooter that was among the first to adopt an isometric perspective. Players must navigate by moving up, down, left, and right, but the unique control scheme—which lacks forward or backward movement—requires practice, posing a fresh challenge to gamers of the time. The game takes players on a journey from an enemy base, through outer space, and finally toward the enemy headquarters, where a giant robot awaits in the final stage. Notably, when playing the original hardware, the message "INITIALS ENTERD" appears after entering one's name; this unique typo is now a fascinating detail that evokes a sense of gaming history.

Story

This is an isometric shooter in which the objective is to infiltrate an enemy space fortress. Players pilot a fighter craft, adjusting their altitude while flying through the stronghold to destroy the defensive installations and enemy units that stand in their way. The player's mission is to defeat the massive robot waiting deep within the fortress and eradicate the enemy's forces.
