Jungle Hunt

Released by Taito in 1982 for arcades, this title is a side-scrolling action game in which you play as a king of the jungle, racing through the wild to rescue a kidnapped heroine. The game consists of four diverse stages, ranging from a forest filled with swinging vines and a crocodile-infested river to a rugged mountain range. Once the final obstacle is cleared and the heroine is rescued, the game loops. Use combinations of the joystick and buttons to master techniques like the high jump to complete your quest. It is also worth noting that the character's hair color changes with each stage—a curious quirk found in the original arcade hardware of the time.

As an explorer, you must embark on an adventure to rescue your girlfriend, who has been kidnapped by cannibals. You must make your way through the jungle by swinging from vine to vine, swimming across a crocodile-infested river, and dodging boulders rolling down a slope. Your ultimate goal is to reach the cannibals’ camp and save her before she is dropped into a boiling pot.
