Stadium Hero

Released by Data East in July 1988, Stadium Hero made a unique mark on the arcade scene with its unconventional take on a baseball game. Its most defining feature is the inclusion of "Special Players," a dream lineup that brings together legendary historical figures, Hyuma Hoshi from *Star of the Giants*, and even the protagonist from the company's own title, *Chelnov*. These characters engage in a spectacular crossover, utilizing supernatural pitches and extraordinary batting power. Players use an eight-way joystick and three buttons to master eight different types of "magic pitches." The game follows a nine-inning format, with a mercy rule that ends the match if the lead reaches ten runs. Please note that while the original hardware randomly selects from four different background music tracks each inning, some emulation environments have been known to lock the game to a single track.
