Space Harrier

Released by SEGA in 1985 as an arcade title, this 3D shooting game follows the psychic warrior Harrier as he battles to save "Dragon Land" from supernatural forces that have turned it into a realm of monsters. At the time of its release, the game’s unparalleled, high-speed scrolling and immersive pseudo-3D effects astonished players, while the integration of the large, moving cockpit cabinet made the experience truly breathtaking. The year is 20XX. When the otherworldly realm of Dragon Land falls into crisis, the psychic warrior Harrier rises to the challenge. Players control Harrier, dashing through a fantastical world while shooting down encroaching enemies with a large laser cannon. The goal is to restore peace to Dragon Land after a desperate battle spanning 18 stages.
