Space Laser

Space Laser is a fixed-screen arcade shooter released by Taito in 1980. Part of the wave of titles inspired by the "Invader boom" that swept the arcade scene at the time, it allows players to enjoy a sense of mounting tension within a simple rule set. Its intuitive gameplay—maneuvering your craft at the bottom of the screen to shoot down enemies descending from above—makes it a valuable archival piece that conveys the origins of the shooting genre to the present day.
