Slap Fight

Released by Toaplan in 1986, *Slap Fight* (also known as *Alcon*) is a shooting game that tasks players with thwarting the ambitions of the artificial intelligence "Gaudi." Standing apart from the company’s flagship *Tiger* series, this title represents an ambitious shift for the developer. The game condenses the true essence of the genre into every corner, featuring a gauge-based power-up system that adds a new layer of strategy, alongside a multitude of hidden features for players looking to maximize their scores. It is also noted for its ethereal, transparent musical score, which offers a different atmosphere from earlier Toaplan works.
