Super Xevious

Released by Namco in December 1984, Super Xevious is an arcade title developed as a high-level, enhanced version of the classic game Xevious. It is characterized by an extremely high difficulty level, featuring relentless aerial enemy combinations designed to challenge even the most skilled players. Additionally, the appearance locations for hidden elements such as Special Flags and Sols have been completely overhauled, presenting new challenges where existing strategies no longer apply.

The Xevious, a mysterious legion of mechanical lifeforms, suddenly arrived from an unknown alien civilization and began their brutal invasion of Earth. With humanity on the brink of extinction, the top-secret special strategic fighter, "Solvalou," is launched in a desperate final counterattack. Players take control of the Solvalou, utilizing both air-to-air and air-to-ground weaponry to fight their way through the Xevious forces, destroying their fortresses and ground armaments. The fate of humanity now rests entirely in the hands of a single fighter craft.
