Description

Released by Namco in September 1982, Super Pac-Man is the official sequel to the globally acclaimed Pac-Man. While it follows the fundamental rules of its predecessor, the gameplay features increased depth, shifting from consuming dots to fruits, and introducing walls that must be unlocked with keys, as well as a wider variety of fruits. Its most distinctive feature is the newly implemented button, which allows Pac-Man to transform into "Super Pac-Man" and gain a burst of speed. Historical records, including the original arcade hardware, show unique behavioral traits from the game’s initial release, such as a slight stutter in the ghosts' movement during the introductory scene.
