Superman

Developed and released by Taito in February 1989, this action game features the world-renowned hero, Superman. Although primarily produced for export, the game was also released in Japan. Players control Superman in his Clark Kent persona, utilizing punches and kicks to battle evildoers. While the game allows players to enjoy exciting hero-themed action, the protagonist’s sluggish movement provided a unique challenge that players of the time found quite demanding.

As Superman, players must fight to defeat the evil Emperor Zaas, who threatens the world. The game consists of five levels in total, each featuring a combination of side-scrolling action sequences and vertical-scrolling flight stages. By utilizing abilities such as punches, kicks, and heat vision, Superman must lead the world to peace.
