Time Pilot '84

Released by Konami in June 1984, this title serves as the successor to the original Time Pilot, which debuted in 1982. Departing from the multi-directional scrolling of its predecessor, this game adopts a full top-down perspective. In addition to the core strategy of defeating a set number of enemy aircraft to summon a boss, players must now utilize newly equipped homing missiles to survive. With the introduction of indestructible enemies, the game demands a strategic playstyle where players must choose the right weapon for the situation at hand.

Set in a futuristic science-fiction landscape, this game is a multi-directional scrolling shooter. Players pilot their craft, using vulcan cannons and homing missiles to defeat waves of incoming enemy planes. The primary objective is to complete each stage by destroying the massive boss craft that appears at the end.
