Description

Released by Bally Midway in 1984, *Timber* is an action game in which players control a lumberjack tasked with felling trees and meeting a set quota within a time limit, all while avoiding various obstacles. As players chop their way through the forest, they must navigate the game's tense atmosphere, dodging forest denizens such as bears and beehives. With its simple yet fast-paced gameplay and unique theme, the title was a well-regarded entry in the arcade scene of the era. It remains a precious example of the creativity characteristic of Bally Midway, firmly etched into the history of retro gaming.

Story

Players take on the role of a lumberjack at a logging site, where they must use an axe to chop down trees that sprout from the ground one after another within a time limit. While working, you must complete your quota while keeping an eye out for the site supervisor watching your every move and dodging beehives thrown by bears. At times, you will also face bonus stages where you must balance on spinning logs floating in a river.
