Description

Released by Namco in April 1986, Toypop is a fairy-tale-themed, single-screen action game featuring protagonists Pino and Acha as they face off against a wicked wizard. A key feature of the game is the strategic use of weapons tailored to specific enemy types; for instance, players must wisely utilize items found in stage boxes, such as white bullets for toy soldiers, electric shots for robots, and thumbtacks for balloons. The objective is to guide four hearts scattered throughout each level to the exit door and then escape to clear the stage. Spanning 44 levels in total, the game is also known as a personal favorite of developer Koji Kenjo and continues to be cherished by longtime fans.
