Description

Released by Sega in 1985, Hang-On is the landmark first entry in the company’s pioneering series of "taikan" (body-sensory) arcade games. Its most notable feature was its cutting-edge system, in which players straddled a realistic motorcycle-shaped cabinet and controlled the game by shifting their body weight. Featuring five diverse stages, powerful stereo sound, and what was then the pinnacle of beautiful graphics, the game captivated countless players. In addition to the weight-based model, the game was also released in a sit-down version specialized for handlebar steering, helping this historic title appeal to an even wider range of fans.
