Description

Released by SNK in 1989, Beast Busters is a landmark title that pioneered the gun-shooting genre that would soon dominate the arcade scene. The game captivated players with its exhilarating pace—mowing down hordes of grotesque monsters with a machine gun—and its hard-hitting graphics, which pushed the limits of the technology at the time. The overwhelming sense of immersion felt while blasting through screens packed with zombies and creatures still commands a passionate following among retro game enthusiasts today. It remains an essential chapter in history for understanding the evolution of arcade action games.

Story

In 1999, an unprecedented and abnormal situation occurred in an American downtown area, where corpses began wandering the streets and attacking anyone who strayed into their path. Viewing the situation with the utmost gravity, the mayor announced a $500,000 reward for anyone capable of unraveling the mystery behind the city. Hearing this rumor, three bounty hunters—Johnny, Paul, and Sammy—steeled themselves and headed into the city, determined to defeat the various horrors that had taken control.
