Peter Pack-Rat

Released by Atari in 1985 (and distributed in Japan by Namco), Peter Pack-Rat is an action game where you control Peter, a large rat with a habit of hoarding treasures in his nest. Players must collect scattered valuables such as wrenches and rings while avoiding enemies, occasionally fending them off by throwing the items they are carrying. The game features four difficulty levels available at the start, with higher-level courses designed to offer greater point bonuses. It should be noted that in the original arcade hardware, the start button also serves as the action button, which leads to certain behaviors characteristic of the era, such as the inability to insert further credits after exiting the service mode.
