Description

Released by Konami for arcades in 1987, Flak Attack (known as MX5000) is a shooting game in which players seek to avenge their base, destroyed by an evil empire, and defeat the central computer, Zeda X. The controls follow the classic style of the era, utilizing an eight-way joystick and two buttons for distinguishing between ground and air attacks. Designed with five stages that loop twice, the game challenges players to remain vigilant against the "lightning" that acts as a key to mastery. The pleasant background music, a true hallmark of the Konami sound, is also one of the title's major appeals.
