Released by Konami for arcades in March 1986, this side-scrolling action game tasks players with rescuing hostages and making their way to the Manhattan penitentiary after a breakout of prisoners overtakes the city. Featuring an 8-way joystick and two buttons for attacking and switching weapons, the game incorporates a system where rescuing hostages allows for upgrading from your standard-issue pistol to more destructive options like rockets and tear gas. While the game draws comparisons to the company’s own "Rush'n Attack" for its unique, expansive atmosphere, it is perhaps best known for its exceptionally high difficulty.

This is an action game set in a Manhattan that has been seized by escaped convicts. As a police officer, your mission is to rescue the warden who is being held captive in the prison. Along the way, you can save citizens to obtain new weapons beyond your standard handgun as you fight your way through the lawless criminals.
