Description

Released by Taito for arcades in March 1989, this title was produced as a prequel that revisits the story of the classic game Rastan Saga. Set in the holy land of Rastania, where the power of the gods resides, and the celestial temple known as the Skyscraper, the game depicts the struggle of a young warrior who rises to protect the earth against an invasion of evil forces. While it inherits the world-building and settings of its predecessor, the game is an ambitious work that took a different approach to its graphics and gameplay, shaped by the development circumstances and critical reception of the time.

Story

Set in the sacred land of Rastania, a battle begins against an evil group plotting to conquer the world by seizing control of the Skyscraper, a temple that towers into the heavens. In the face of this crisis, a courageous young man rises, taking up his sword and shield to head toward the temple. This game serves as a prequel to its predecessor, Rastan Saga, depicting the story of how the protagonist becomes the legendary warrior known as "Rastan."
