Description

Released by SNK in February 1986, Ikari Warriors is a hallmark of war-themed action games, following the company’s previous title, T.A.N.K. It features the signature 360-degree rotating "rotary joystick." Players take on the roles of Colonel Ralf and Lieutenant Clark, who have crash-landed in hostile territory and must fight their way through enemy lines using a machine gun with limited ammunition and powerful grenades. Known for its aesthetic reminiscent of the film Rambo, the game is also famous for the legend that despite the developer’s claim that a "one-coin clear" was impossible, many players succeeded in doing just that. Please note that to access the game's test mode, you must hold down the 1P Start button while the game is booting up.

Story

After a surprise attack by rebel forces wipes out their unit, two soldiers, Ralf and Clark, miraculously survive. Determined to rescue their captured colonel, they set out to infiltrate the enemy's stronghold by breaking through jungles and fortified positions. Wielding a variety of weapons, the pair advances deep into enemy territory, resolved to avenge their fallen comrades.
