Ginga NinkyouDen

Released by Jaleco in 1987 for the arcade, *Ginga NinkyouDen* is a comical action game set in a quirky universe where you must fight to rescue your lover from alien kidnappers. The game’s most distinctive feature is the inclusion of numerous characters reminiscent of famous figures from that era, such as Tora-san and Suke-ban Deka. Using an eight-way joystick and two buttons, players wield traditional yakuza-style weapons like short swords and long swords to battle their way through the game; collecting "Mamushi" (viper) drinks even allows you to fire piercing projectiles.
