Description

Released on the MSX in 1986 by Nihon Dexter, *Alien 8* is a sophisticated action-adventure title renowned for its innovative isometric perspective. Players assume the role of a maintenance robot tasked with navigating a vast, multi-room starship to restore critical life-support systems for cryogenically frozen passengers. Combining puzzle-solving elements with a challenging race against the clock, the game demands tactical exploration of its intricate, three-dimensional environment. As a standout of the era's 8-bit software, it represents a remarkable achievement in delivering complex spatial gameplay within the technical constraints of the MSX platform.

Story

Aboard a massive spacecraft traveling through the far reaches of space, a vast number of passengers lie in cryogenic stasis. Players take control of the robot "Alien 8," who must navigate the ship's complex, labyrinthine halls to locate and restore vital life-support circuits scattered throughout the vessel. Failure to reactivate these systems within the ticking time limit will result in the permanent demise of the sleeping passengers. As you explore the ship, you must solve environmental puzzles and manage the life-support systems to ensure the crew survives their long journey.
