WING-MAN

Released in 1984 by Enix for the PC-8801, this command-based adventure game is based on Masakazu Katsura's hit manga series. Players take on the role of the righteous hero Wingman (Kenta Hirono) as he teams up with a girl from another dimension named Aoi and his girlfriend Miku to recover the lost "Dream Note" before it falls into evil hands. Developed by Tamtam and Kazunobu Nakazawa, the game utilizes the PC-8801's impressive capabilities to beautifully recreate the world of the original manga. It stands as an important relic of the 80s character game era, blending the classic experience of typing in text commands to solve puzzles with a profound respect for the source material.

The story follows the adventures of Aoi, a girl who fled the alternate dimension of Podrims, and Kenta Hirono, a heroic student who becomes the legendary "Wingman." Aoi traveled to our world to protect the "Dream Note," a book that makes anything written within it reality, from the evil tyrant Rimel. However, after an attack by Rimel’s subordinate Kietaklar, the Dream Note is lost during the heat of battle. If the note falls into the clutches of evil, the world will face a terrible catastrophe. Now, Kenta must work alongside Aoi and Miku to search for and recover the missing book.
