Description

Released by Telenet Japan for the PC-8801 in 1989, this game is a unique action RPG that spans from medieval Islamic society to the late 20th century. Following Sadler, a warrior of the Assassin order, the story features a bold and epic narrative that intertwines religion, history, and modern politics as he travels through time to prevent a global final war. The profound soundtrack, composed by Tenpei Sato and others, takes full advantage of the Sound Board 2 hardware to dramatically enhance the turbulent tale. It stands as a valuable example of the extreme, provocative, and passionate creative spirit found in the 1980s PC gaming industry.

Story

Sadler, a warrior of the heretical Assassin order, returns to his home fortress of Alamut after traveling through time to prevent the final war of the late 20th century. Though he saved the world and survived, he finds that his leader, Sabbah, has already passed away. His reunion with old comrades is short-lived, however, as the "Tears of Ilfan"—an Islamic legend entrusted to him by the late Caliph—pulls him into a new vortex of conflict.
