Description

Released by BPS in 1985, Epsilon 3 was a pioneering 3D real-time role-playing game for the PC-8801 that left a vivid impression on players of the era. Set on the planet Mu, players pilot the Epsilon 3 mech to join the fight against the invading Siliconoids. The game is defined by its fusion of tense 3D maze exploration and strategic combat that requires players to identify enemy shield properties and switch weapons on the fly. Many fans were hooked by the progression of starting with minimal equipment, rescuing comrades, and upgrading their機体 as they advanced. This groundbreaking attempt to combine 3D rendering with real-time combat remains an important milestone in the history of PC gaming.

Story

On the planet Mu, once a peaceful world now turned to sand and rubble by the invaders known as the Siliconoids, humanity has developed its final hope: the giant battle armor Epsilon 3. As the sole pilot, you must descend into three major cities with limited equipment to carry out the grueling mission of gathering intelligence and rescuing captured allies. By identifying enemy weaknesses and reclaiming the powerful "TYPE 2" battle armor, you must fight to destroy "Mother," the leader of the enemy forces, and save all life in the universe.
