Description

Released in 1986, Gamma 5 is an ambitious action game by Eiji Kure that follows a heavy infantryman in a powered suit fighting to conquer the "Demon Star." The game pushed the limits of PC hardware at the time with its smooth vertical scrolling and a vast, 32-area adventure that thrilled fans of the legendary Xenon series. With its strategic gameplay involving six different weapons and complex mechanics like hidden passages, it remains a testament to the technical prowess and creativity of early personal computer gaming.

Story

To end their losing war against the superior Earth forces, the M3 aliens have deployed their ultimate weapon, the "Demon Star," placing humanity's survival at grave risk. You play as Gamma 5, a battle-hardened heavy infantryman clad in a powered suit, sent on a solo mission to infiltrate the enemy's base. You must fight through legions of bioroids and defense systems to reach and destroy the anti-proton bomb detonator, taking on a grueling battle to save the Earth.
