Description

Released in 1988 by Ponca, this title is a PC-8801 port of an unconventional game originally produced by the American company Activision. Upon launching the game, players are confronted with a mysterious login screen and left to hack into the system themselves without any instructions, a highly innovative meta-fictional approach for its time. Once access is gained, the game unfolds as an adventure RPG where you pilot a robot through underground facilities to uncover a corporate conspiracy. This exhibits a unique thrill of mastering an unknown system, offering an immersive experience that remains a significant milestone in retro game design.

Story

Upon booting the game, your computer accidentally connects to the host system of the mysterious mega-corporation, Magma Ltd. As you fumble through the interface and hack the system, you discover that the company is secretly plotting for world domination. You must bypass rigorous security protocols and remotely control a robot to search underground facilities and recover fragments of classified files. You, the player, must act as a real-life hacker to analyze the unknown system and thwart the ambitions of this colossal evil.
