Released by DB-SOFT in 1983, Flappy is a classic action-puzzle game that stands as a landmark of Japan's early PC gaming era. Players control a yellow character who must strategically move stones that fall according to gravity to deposit a "Blue Stone" at a designated destination, offering a simple yet profoundly deep puzzle experience. Ported to a wide variety of major personal computers of the time, including the PC-8801, its intricate level design has exerted a significant influence on the puzzle game genre. It remains beloved by fans today and is an essential title in the history of Japanese action-puzzle games.

Story

The once beautiful planet of Blue Star faced extinction following an invasion by the dark emperor Ngaro Ngoro. Just before his home world was destroyed, a young boy named Flappy was sent to the neighboring planet Xevilas by his father, making him its sole survivor. Guided one day by a mysterious voice, Flappy decides to embark on a journey to collect the "Blue Stones"—the scattered fragments of his homeland—and bring them to the Blue Area. Believing that a miracle can happen, he begins to challenge the difficult mazes that stand in his way.
