Jikuu no Hanayome

Released by Kogado Studio in 1988, Jikuu no Hanayome (Bride of Time) is a unique role-playing game where you take on the role of a 22nd-century time patrol officer searching for a lost lover. The title gained significant attention at the time for its comical character designs, which were crafted by professional animators. In the 22nd century, the Time Patrol was established by the Time-Space Administration to combat crimes resulting from the invention of time travel. One day, Ken, a patrol officer, journeys to the 16th-century fortified city of Roderan to rescue his girlfriend, Kumiko, who has been abducted across time. Players must repeatedly loop through the same seven-day window, from January 1st to the 7th of 1503, to track her down through a high-stakes, time-defying adventure.
