After being rescued from the "merchant of death" WWWF in the previous game, Dr. Etchu is placed under house arrest by the Integrated Military's inspection bureau on suspicion of manufacturing clones. Bronwyn, the protagonist and "The 4th Unit" of the bio-weapons program, is suddenly attacked and kidnapped while pursuing the truth behind the Bionic Soldiers (BS). As genetically enhanced humans clash on opposing sides, Bronwyn is once again thrust into a war swirling with deep-seated conspiracies and questions regarding her own reason for existing.
