THE FIRE CRYSTAL

The Fire Crystal was released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1984 as the official sequel to The Black Onyx, a pioneer of Japanese PC role-playing games. The title allowed players to import characters raised in the previous game, fulfilling the high expectations of fans at the time. By centering its strategy around a new magic system, the game offered a high level of difficulty that challenged players to conquer its complex labyrinths. Created by Henk Brougham Rogers, it stands as a monumental work essential to the history of early Japanese RPGs.

Having obtained the legendary Black Onyx in the previous adventure, our heroes set out on a new quest for the mythical Fire Crystal. The story takes place in a new, dangerous labyrinth that builds upon the lore of its predecessor. Players must explore deep, mystery-filled dungeons and navigate harsh environments. Reaching the Dark Tower to claim the ultimate artifact is the core objective of this journey.
