DRAGON KNIGHT

Released in December 1989 by ELF Corporation for the PC-8801, *Dragon Knight* is a landmark title that helped define the adult-themed role-playing game genre in Japan. Players control the wandering swordsman Yamato Takeru, who ventures into the women-only kingdom of "Strawberry Fields" to rescue the imprisoned Goddess and captive citizens from a demonic threat. Featuring first-person dungeon crawling mechanics, this classic title combined traditional turn-based combat with character-focused narrative elements. As the first entry in a foundational series, it remains a significant example of 1980s Japanese PC gaming and the evolution of the eroge RPG.

The wandering swordsman Yamato Takeru arrives in "Strawberry Fields," a serene land inhabited exclusively by beautiful women. He soon learns that a malevolent force known as the Dragon Knight has imprisoned the Water Goddess and is threatening to destroy the kingdom. Enticed by the promise that any one of his wishes will be granted, Takeru agrees to aid the desperate citizens. He embarks on a perilous journey into the mysterious tower to defeat the Dragon Knight, rescue the captured women, and restore the Water Goddess to her rightful place.
