Description

Released in 1987, this board-game-style title recreates the world of the explosively popular 1986 OVA of the same name on the PC-8801. Players take on the role of Eiko "A-ko" Magami, navigating the board using a variety of unique items and events to reach the goal before her rival, Biko "B-ko" Daitokuji. With graphics that pushed the limits of the hardware and cinematic direction that captures the spirit of the anime, the game stands as a highly ambitious example of 1980s media-mix projects. It is a valuable piece of gaming history that exemplifies the strong connection between animation and PC culture during that era.

Story

Set in a Tokyo rebuilt after a meteor strike sixteen years prior, the story follows Eiko "A-ko" Magami, a transfer student with superhuman strength, and her best friend, Shiiko "C-ko" Kotobuki. A-ko must protect C-ko from the schemes of Biko "B-ko" Daitokuji, the wealthy heiress of the Daitokuji zaibatsu, who is determined to claim C-ko for herself. As A-ko, players engage in a fierce rivalry with B-ko, racing across a board representing the school and city to resolve the chaotic antics of these iconic characters. This game allows fans to relive the slapstick adventures of the series through a competitive board-game format.
