Description

Released in 1990 by Enix, Misty Blue is a command-selection adventure game featuring a soundtrack by the then-emerging composer Yuzo Koshiro. The music, composed for the PC-8801 Sound Board II, is celebrated for pushing the expressive limits of 8-bit hardware. Spanning six floppy disks, the game immerses players in a richly woven mystery narrative. As one of the final masterworks of the golden age of text adventures, Misty Blue preserves the spirit of an era when Japanese PC gaming culture was at its most vibrant.

Story

Popular musician Kazuya Mizukami vanished from the music industry following a murder case that occurred a year ago. After receiving a call from his former lover, he decides to make a comeback, returns to his home country, and reunites with his old friends. However, a new series of murders begins to unfold around Kazuya, and he soon finds himself on the run as a prime suspect. To prove his innocence and uncover the truth lurking behind the shadows, Kazuya embarks on a lonely, desperate investigation.
