Description

Released by Koei in 1991, European Front (Europe Sensen) is the second installment in the "WWII Game Series," depicting World War II through a tactical lens. Departing from the studio's usual style, the game uses a scenario-based system where players conquer individual maps, offering a high-difficulty, turn-based strategic experience. While Yuji Ohno’s moving musical score captures the gravity of the battlefield, the game retains classic Koei flavor through unique features, such as using a roulette system to determine the abilities of historical generals. Balancing troop command and logistics under brutal conditions, this title remains a highly regarded classic among wargame enthusiasts.

Story

Set across the European and North African theaters of World War II, players take command of either the Axis or Allied forces during the most pivotal conflicts of the era. You must manage your corps’ logistics, from securing supply lines to reinforcing units, all while leading your historical generals to achieve mission objectives. Guided by the facts of history, you are tasked with executing complex strategies and making difficult tactical decisions under the crushing pressure of an ever-changing front line.
