Description

Released in July 1985 by Fuji Onkyo RAM, "Mahou no Izumi" (The Magic Fountain) is a fantasy adventure game that helped define the early days of the PC-8801. The game features a classic heroic narrative, brought to life through the "instant display" graphic technology of the era. Known as an early work by Mr. Shirakawa—who would later create the masterpiece "Saber"—it faithfully follows the staples of 1980s adventure games. It remains a significant title in early computer gaming history for making fantasy exploration accessible to a wider audience.

Story

One day, a peaceful kingdom is plunged into darkness by an army of demons, leaving its people in despair. As the lone hero, you must embark on a quest to find the legendary sword, the only hope for restoring peace to your land. Numerous challenges and mysteries await you along the way, and you must overcome them to succeed in your mission. Your ultimate duty is to recover the blade and defeat the dark ruler of the demons.
